Veggies and Fruits


Food tastes so good when you grow it yourself, and it’s surprisingly easy to include edibles like veggies plants in your landscape. Many of these plants can also ornamental and attractive garden plants.

Fruit trees like pears, plums, apples and citrus are beautiful in bloom and sized to fit in almost any garden. We perform in-depth research to ensure we stock only those varieties that thrive and produce in the Tallahassee climate.

Shrubs like blueberries, pomegranates and figs are prolific in our area and easy to grow.

Seasonal plants like tomatoes, herbs and strawberries are displayed in our bedding plant area. Seeds for vegetables like corn and beans are in the Garden Center.

In our climate we can grow vegetables nearly all year but there are distinct cool and warm weather plants. Cabbage, collards, broccoli, and parsley, for instance, grow in winter. Tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and basil are warm season plants. Visit us often to see what’s in season and let us help you plan a year-round harvest.
